Arin Vasquez
Arin Vasquez (they/them) is a queer Latine artist, born and raised in San Francisco. They are currently getting a postgraduate certificate in Science Illustration at California State University Monterey Bay. Their keen interest in science has fostered a tendency towards naturalistic and illustrative art, often focused on unusual or “unappealing” forms of organic life, such as deep-sea cephalopods. Arin’s favorite medium to work in at the moment is SLA 3D printing, and they enjoy the challenge of sculpting. Arin has exhibited work in the Thacher Gallery, the University of San Francisco’s XARTS Gallery, and the SOMArts Cultural Center.
