Siena Merk

Siena is a student of the Science Illustration certificate program at CSU Monterey Bay. Inspired by fellow nature-lovers and conservationists, as well as her own experiences exploring tidepools and trails along the coast, she aims to create original artwork that highlights the beauty of nature in parks around California. Her favorite subjects to illustrate are marine invertebrates -- small and slimy critters that are perhaps obscure to the general public, but charismatic, ecologically important, and deserving attention all the same.
